Product Details
Leica 19210 Q3 Full-Frame Compact Camera in Metal Gray
Unique, just like you, the Leica Q3 is a cutting-edge precision instrument designed to give photographers and video creators maximum creative freedom. This compact full-frame camera brings excellent photo and video quality together with intuitive Leica operation, making it a natural fit for everyday creative work, travel and street photography. Its clear, timeless form is finished in understated metallic gray, giving the full-metal camera a sober, confident presence that unites advanced performance with distinctive design.
At the center of the Q3 is a 60.3MP full-frame BSI CMOS sensor with Triple Resolution Technology, allowing you to choose 60MP, 36MP or 18MP output while using the sensor's full area. The bright Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH. prime lens gathers the light needed to bring a creative vision to life, while optical image stabilization helps with stills and video. Turn to integrated macro mode to focus as close as 17 cm, or rely on the hybrid autofocus system and intelligent subject recognition to track decisive moments with speed and precision.
The Q3 also gives hybrid creators the flexibility to produce audio-visual content in a compact body. Record up to 8K resolution in formats that include efficient H.265 and Apple ProRes,1 then use USB-C and HDMI connections with compatible gimbals, microphones, power banks and external display recorders. A tiltable 3 in touch display opens new perspectives from unusual angles, while the 5.76MP OLED viewfinder provides a clear, classic eye-level composing experience. Seamless Leica FOTOS app integration supports a connected mobile workflow, and Made for iPhone and iPad certification further streamlines Apple-device use. Together, these capabilities help the Q3 integrate naturally and intuitively into the way you create.
Key Features
Summilux 28 f/1.7 ASPH. Lens with Integrated Macro Mode
The fixed 28mm wide-angle lens uses 11 lenses in nine segments and three aspherical lens surfaces. Its f/1.7 to f/16 aperture range supports available-light creativity, while macro operation reduces the minimum focusing distance from 30 cm to 17 cm for finely rendered close-ups.
Full-Frame Sensor with Triple Resolution Technology
Choose 60.3MP, 36.5MP or 18.6MP DNG resolution to balance maximum detail against more manageable file sizes. Each setting takes advantage of the full sensor, complemented by 14-bit DNG color depth, an ISO 50 to ISO 100000 range and the Leica Maestro IV processor.
Advanced Autofocus System
Phase comparison, contrast metering and depth mapping work together across 315 autofocus fields. Eye, face and body detection, animal detection and tracking give the system multiple ways to recognize and follow a subject, while Touch AF offers direct control from the display.
Tiltable Display and 5.76MP OLED Viewfinder
The 3 in touchscreen has approximately 1.84 million dots and a durable tilting mechanism for framing from fresh perspectives. At eye level, the 5.76-million-dot OLED viewfinder delivers 100% frame coverage, a 120 fps refresh rate and a 0.005-second delay.
Super-Fast and Convenient Connectivity
MIMO increases connection stability and data-transfer performance with the Leica FOTOS app, reaching speeds up to 10 times faster than the predecessor. Mobile tools include video transfer, Leica Looks and Eco-to-Performance connection modes, while USB-C supports tethered shooting with Capture One or the Adobe Lightroom plug-in.
Made for iPhone and iPad
Certified Apple-device integration enables image and video downloads plus camera control through the Leica FOTOS app. Connect an iPhone with the Leica FOTOS cable, or use an iPad's original USB-C cable with compatible USB-C-equipped models.
