Designed as an easy-to-use secondary control point, the R5 mounts on the front of your boat's dash and puts audio operation at your fingertips without adding another display. Its large single knob provides a direct, tactile interface for managing every audio zone connected to one compatible marine head unit.
By connecting through the boat's NMEA 2000 network, the R5 becomes a convenient part of the onboard audio system. Turn the knob to adjust the listening level across connected zones, then press it to play or pause the music. Combining these essential functions in one control keeps operation straightforward, whether you are making a quick volume change or stopping playback.
The compact, display-free format is made for boat owners who want focused control from an additional location. Front mounting requires a single dash opening, while the included NMEA 2000 T-connector supports network integration. An IPX7-rated control surface helps prepare the R5 for marine environments.2 The result is a clean, purpose-built way to take command of onboard audio from one simple knob.
Features
Large Single-Knob Control
Makes tactile volume changes easy from the boat's dash.
NMEA 2000 Network Connection
A Micro-C port links the controller with the vessel's NMEA 2000 network.
All-Zone Volume Adjustment
One action manages the listening level throughout a single head unit's audio zones.
Push-to-Play/Pause Operation
Press the knob for immediate playback control.
Single-Hole Installation
The front-mount design requires one 1.5 in mounting hole.
IPX7-Rated Control Surface
When properly installed, the control surface is protected for marine use.
JL Audio Head Unit Compatibility
Supports JL Audio A60 and A60-H marine head units.1
Display-Free Design
Adds a compact secondary audio control point without a screen.
Footnotes
1 Not compatible with JL Audio MediaMaster Source Units.
2 The IPX7 rating applies to the control surface when properly installed.
California customers
Proposition 65 WARNING
WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm

Specifications
General
Color
Matte Black
Type
Single Stereo Volume Controller
Compatibility
JL Audio A60, JL Audio A60-H
In the Box
1 x JL Audio R5 Single Stereo Volume Controller, 1 x T-Connector For The NMEA 2000 Network, 2 x Screws, 1 x Documentation Set
IP Rating
IPX7
Mounting
Front Mounted On Boat Dash
Weather Resistant
Yes
Warranty Information
Parts Warranty
1 Year
Labor Warranty
1 Year
Approximate Weight
Package Weight (lbs)
1
Approximate Dimensions
Height (in)
2.35
Width (in)
2.35
Depth (in)
2.04
Package Size HxWxL (in)
4 x 3 x 6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0716/3808/9877/files/jl-audio-marine-audio-accessories-010-04790-00-front.jpg?v=1792514690
