At the heart of the kit, the PowerShot V1 combines a large 1.4-type CMOS sensor and DIGIC X processing with an ultra-wide fixed zoom lens. It records uncropped 4K at up to 29.97 fps and cropped 4K at up to 59.94 fps for detailed motion capture.1 Canon Log 3 and 10-bit recording give advanced creators greater flexibility when preserving dynamic range and grading footage. A bright f/2.8-f/4.5 maximum aperture and integrated 3-stop ND filter help adapt the built-in lens to changing light, while Dual Pixel CMOS AF provides subject and eye detection for both movies and still images.
Creator-friendly design keeps production moving from setup to delivery. Stabilization supports handheld and walking footage, and the built-in cooling system helps the camera handle longer high-resolution sessions. The Lens
The built-in 8.2-25.6mm zoom covers an approximately 17-52mm full-frame-equivalent range for video and 16-50mm for still images, giving creators room for arm's-length framing, interiors, travel scenes, and everyday coverage. Its 3-stop ND filter reduces exposure in brighter conditions without requiring a lens change.
The Sensor
A 1.4-type CMOS sensor provides approximately 22.3 million effective pixels for still images and approximately 18.7 million effective pixels for 16:9 video. Paired with DIGIC X processing, it supports a single camera workflow for moving images and photography.
Video
For more advanced finishing, Canon Log 3 is available with 10-bit YCbCr 4:2:2 recording and H.265/HEVC compression. HDR PQ is also supported, while MP4 recording options include IPB Standard, IPB Light, and ALL-I for time-lapse movies.
Keeping It Cool
The internal fan can be set to Off, On, or Auto, with High, Medium, and Low speed choices available in the On setting. These controls let creators manage camera temperature according to the recording session.2

Lens optical IS can be combined with Movie Digital IS, while Subject Tracking IS adds another option for supporting steadier handheld footage.3 Movie Auto Level is also available with stated mode restrictions.
